Introducing Alpha...Meow

Hello,

I have a new little friend I would love you all to meet.

His name is Alpha - but gets Alphie most of the time - and Alphred when he is in trouble. He is in trouble a lot.

Little baby kitten with a lot of energy to burn.

His favourite dinner is Whiskas Chicken and Tuna, and he is always very thirsty because he plays so much.

I think he misses his mum and little brothers and sisters at night, and often cries for them - but nothing a little cuddle won't fix.

His favourite toy is his purple teddy bear and his scratching post, and he loves afternoon snuggle and nap time when I get home from university.

FUNDAY SUNDAY: Boys are not beauty hardwired

Hi,

So I have been quite MIA lately due to a hectic uni exam schedule.
Although with my last one over tomorrow I have three weeks to do as I wish.
And I wish to work on getting this blog really up and running.
Just a funny thought I would like to share with you...

I just bid farewell to my wonderful boyfriend this morning, he is off on his first overseas trip with his best friend, it was sad for me being a blubbering mess at the departures gate, but I ran away to Central America for a month and a half over summer so I can't complain, even though I will miss him dearly :(

What I thought was amusing was what he packed re; toiletries.
Literally all he had was a toothbrush, toothpaste, deoderant, razor, and sunscreen.
None of which were going on the plane with him.
I amended it a little bit and included so he had soap and panadol and bandaids and gastrostop (South East Asia  -  you can never be too safe!!) and shaving cream and a mini mouthwash for the plane, and antibacterial hand wash.

Really shows some differences between us wee lads and lasses hey??

With FleurDeForce and ViviannaDoesMakeup  (from youtube)  from doing great inflight and holidays beauty packing/routines last week it really was a stark contrast!!

What is your holiday health and beauty essential?

My pedicure from Mexico (complete with my now long lost Mexican tan).

ORIGINAL SOURCE SHOWER GEL

Hello,

This post is going to be about shower gels.

Has anyone else tried the 'Original Source' shower gels?

I get drawn in by their amazing smells, thus far I have tried the Shea Butter and Honey, the Lemon and Tea Tree, and the Mint and Tea Tree.

They lather up beautifully and then do something really odd, I can't put my finger on it though, the smell disappears straight away which is a real shame and having those beautiful lingering scents on your skin all day would be a delight. Then when I turn the water off, no matter how much I have rinsed, they leave an oily residue (not a good residue as in bath oil type product). A drying oily residue that never soaks in.

This is a real disappointment as they are a bargain supermarket item and have so much appeal, if only the formulation was actually creamy like it looked.

I would like to try some bath/body oils, does anybody have any they would like to recommend?
What are your favourite shower gels?

BLUSH

Hello!!

I thought for this very first proper post I would talk blush.

When I first started watching youtube bloggers and reading blogs there was this little hysteria about NARS blush which I hadn't ever been aware of before! Being the little follower that I am, I jumped on http://au.strawberrynet.com/main.aspx straight away and without a huge amount of consideration bought my very first NARS blush, in the colour Mounia.

As you can now see above, it is a deep burgandy colour with quite a lot of shimmer. Potential with my dark colouring you heard me say...

This is where I was wrong...

IT IS HORRIFIC

Applies like war paint, so heavily pigmented, even the lightest dusting (with every different brush I own) applies in little striped lines...

So I became a NARS (un)fan, and continued to hear all the bloggers and youtubers rave about NARS orgasm, and NARS laguna.

Until yesterday when I was having a little browse of Zoella's blog:

and it recommended me to read:

...where Zoella goes on to say that the $4.99AUD Lacura blush in Sunset is a dupe for NARS orgasm.

I live right across the road from an ALDI supermarket which stocks Lacura, and I have dappled in their facewash and facewipes before, but never even considered their makeup.

On my way home from uni today I popped in thinking it would be just my luck that this store didn't carry it...but alas it did.

I am now the proud owner of a very lovely dupe of NARS orgasm , although I still plan on saving my pennies and maybe one day buying the real thing :)

New to this!!

Hi,

I'm Hilary Alice, a 21 year old sports science student/weekend bar tender from Sydney.

I have been a passionate follower of many blogs of different genres for a while now, and as an outlet from the stresses of everyday life I thought I might have a little dabble in blogging myself.

I would love you all to follow me back and tell me how I am doing!

Woo let's do this!!
